SECRET CINEMA PRESENTS

ROLE: PERFORMANCE DIRECTOR

“This is the big one, the one I've been waiting for all my life”

Secret Cinema recreated the iconic town of Hill Valley in 1955, complete with Lou’s Diner, Hill Valley High School, a Texaco gas station, and the legendary Clock Tower, on a sprawling site near London’s Olympic Park. Audiences were transported through Otis Peabody’s farm into a fully immersive world, assigned characters, encouraged to dress in 1950s costumes, and invited to explore over 20 themed shops, the high school, the enchantment under the sea and hidden alleyways before the main event.

With over 75,000 tickets sold and more than 80,000 attendees over the run, this was Secret Cinema’s most ambitious and high-profile production to date. Key moments from the film were brought to life live in the crowd, including DeLorean stunts, Doc tumbling onto the town square, and the Enchantment Under the Sea dance, before the final screening beneath the reconstructed clock tower.

This one holds a special place in my heart. It was BIG! We had 70 actors and I was of a fabulous team of creatives leading the creation of this show to life.
